Project: Terrace
Terrace Gold
The Terrace project owned by Decade Resources Ltd stretches from 10 to 40 air kilometers east of Terrace, B.C., on the northern slopes of Copper (Zymoetz) River valley. The project consists of 51 contiguous minerals claims totaling 22,900 hectares formed by the Treasure Mountain, Dardanelle, Nobody Knows, Kleanza and Terrace Gold (Excelsior) claims. The property is underlain by a complex boundary zone between two prominent tectonic assemblages: the volcanic island-arc assemblage of the Stikinia Terrane in the east and the intrusive rocks of the Coast Plutonic Complex (Cretaceous-Tertiary?) to the west.
There are no known ore bodies on the property.
The Terrace Gold Property consists of 4 mineral claims and covers 3,190.20 hectares. Relevant claim information is summarized in the below table:
Table: Terrace Gold( Excelsior) Mineral Claims
Claim Name | Tenure Number | Good to Date | Area |
Terrace Gold | 1066059 | December 2 / 2022 | 37.53 |
Terrace Gold 2 | 1069171 | December 2 / 2022 | 1050.69 |
Terrace Gold 3 | 1069185 | December 2 / 2022 | 225.09 |
Terrace Gold 4 | 1069240 | December 2 / 2022 | 1876.89 |
TOTAL | 3,190.20 |
The property contains two significant showings called the Excelsior and the Croesus Porphyry. The Excelsior showing consists of widespread sulfide mineralization consisting of 1 to 5 percent fine to coarse disseminated pyrite and minor chalcopyrite accompanied by quartz-chalcopyrite veins, silicification, chloritization and carbonate alteration. In 2019 sampling by Decade from exposed rock surfaces, gold assays ranged from <5 ppb to 9.04 g/t, silver from <0,2 to 76.6 ppm and copper from 4 ppm to 0.249 %.
On the Excelsior showing, drilling was carried out in the area of 2019 sampling by Decade to evaluate the copper-gold potential. Drilling intersected medium to coarse grained diorite intercalated with fine grained andesite. The rocks are strongly chloritized with trace to weak disseminated pyrite. Local narrow quartz veins and replacements are present. Narrow pale grey to green dacite to rhyolite dykes are present as well. In DDH-22-E-3, a 17 m section with numerous quartz veins and replacements was intersected. Veins are up to 3 cm wide with up to 3 % chalcopyrite and 2 % pyrite. The best assay result was in DDH-E-22-3 which gave 17.08 m of 0.15 g/t Au, 4.94 g/t Ag and 0.09% Cu.
Drilling on the Croesus showing intersected gray to pale reddish medium grained granodiorite. Locally, it has moderate to strong K-feldspar alteration. The rock contains trace to 0.5% pyrite. In places quartz veins up to 5-6 cm wide occur at 20-45° to the core axis. Locally, the rock contains trace to minor chalcopyrite and molybdenite associated with quartz veins and fractures. The best intersection was 1.53m of 0.11 % Mo with anomalous gold values. The hole was terminated due to winter conditions with the core showing increased molybdenite at the bottom.
Mr. Ed Kruchkowski, P.Geo (British Columbia), is the Qualified Person as defined by National Instrument 43-101 who has examined and reviewed this page and geological information available from public sources related to the property, and is responsible for approving the technical contents of this page. The Qualified Person has not completed sufficient work to verify the historic information on the Property, particularly in regards to the historical drill results and any sampling. However, the Qualified Person believes that drilling and analytical results were completed to industry standard practices. The information provides an indication of the exploration potential of the Property but may not be representative of expected results.
