Stewart, BC – Decade Resources Ltd (“Decade” or the Company) announces that it has received assays from sampling on VMS boulder trains on the Goat mine property. The Goat property is located 34 km northeast of Stewart BC, within the Golden Triangle area. Highlights of the sampling include;
- 541 g/t Ag with 2.41 % Pb and 2.52 % Zn in sample GNK-12A
- 395 g/t Ag with 5.51 % Pb and 10.0 % Zn in sample A19-123
Sample GNK-12A is boulder with fragments of sulphide in a mudstone matrix indicating a formation close to the vent area. It is distinctive in that it had no apparent iron staining on the outside. Polished sections of the rock show fine disseminated galena as well as clasts of sphalerite. Sample A19-123 has bedded base metal sulphides, namely sphalerite and minor galena. Sample GNK-12A is located in a valley 1 km north of sample A19-123 with a long narrow ridge between them. The Company has been tracing these boulders towards the source as snow has melted in the property uplands.
E. Kruchkowski, President of the Company states: “The results indicate that the property hosts a portion of the district wide silver rich VMS belt along the east side of Hazelton volcanic rocks in the Stewart area. The lack of indicative iron staining on the float boulders makes it difficult to discern the VMS boulders. The Company has initiated another surface program to continue to conduct surface sampling in order to locate the source of not only the silver rich VMS but other indicated gold bearing zones”.
Float sampling at the base of the North zone which is exposed in a steep rock face gave the following result:
- 82 g/t Au and 1270 g/t silver in sample A19-130.
The Company is also looking at further acquisitions in the Golden Triangle area of BC.
The Company is awaiting results of their sampling in the Terrace area and will release once the results are obtained.
