Premier East

The Premier East project owned by Decade Resources Ltd extends from just north of Stewart to the east side of the former Premier in the Skeena Mining Division, BC. Most of the claim area is underlain by volcanic rocks of Jurassic age which, along the western margin of the claim area, are intruded by Texas Creek Granodiorite. Near the contact volcanic units are partly to completely recrystallized and cut by numerous dykes, sills and irregular masses of fine-to coarse-grained intrusive.

The Premier East property contains approximately 600 hectares in 7 separate claims.

The majority of the property lies along the NW portion of a geological corridor prospective for gold-silver mineralization that is up to 3 -5 kilometres wide. It is at least 20 kilometres long extending from south of the Premier Mine, north to the Scottie Gold Mine. Within this mineralized corridor, there are a number of gold-silver deposits as well as numerous prospects. Deposits within this corridor include the Premier, Big Missouri, Silver Coin, Martha Ellen, Indian and Mt Dilworth. The property is located along volcanic rocks on the east boundary area of the Texas Creek Batholith, part of the Texas Creek Plutonic suite in the Stewart Area. This suite of rocks is related to alteration and mineralization at the former producing Premier mine (produced 2,300,000 oz gold) 15 km south of the property and the KSM copper-gold porphyries and Brucejack Lake gold deposits (Valley of the Kings deposit has reported 6.4 million ounces in the proven and probable categories-Pretium Website).

From historic data as well as field work conducted on the property from 2011 to 2019 the property’s geological setting has a good potential for discovery of an epithermal gold-silver deposit. On the adjoining Premier property, deposits are found at the junction of structures associated with strong sericite alteration. The attached maps show both the Northern Lights and Premier (West fault) structures trending towards the Premier East claims. The neighbouring historic deposit of Premier-Silbak has been interpreted to be at least partly confined to the upper levels of the Unuk River Formation, extending to the lower portion of the Betty Creek formation.. It also has a reported plunge that is up towards the property. Recent work on the adjoining Premier mine indicates a return to production as per Ascot Resource (owner of the Premier property) press releases.

Work in 2021indicates an intriguing drill target along the west side of the claim. Strongly sericite altered Texas Creek granodiorite has been identified with 5 to 10 % pyrite. This is on strike with the Premier structure trend. Strong sericite-pyrite alteration is present in the Premier mine peripheral to the deposits.

Copper mineralization occurs on the property in the form of chalcocite, chalcopyrite, bornite, as well as secondary malachite and azurite. Copper mineralization is commonly associated with sericite alteration, fractures and quartz veining on the property area. Strong sulphide mineralization in the form of sphalerite-galena bearing pods along veins carry exceptionally high concentrations of silver.

The results of sampling of the southern part of the claims are very encouraging. Samples collected in this area displayed evidence of abundant mineralization and returned highly elevated amounts of precious and base metals. It has been confirmed that the heavily mineralized sphalerite-galena bearing pods of the veins could carry exceptionally high concentrations of silver. The table below shows the grab sampling for the southern zone of mineralization:
