Stewart, BC – Decade Resources Ltd (“Decade”) reports that it has mobilized a drill for the Nobody Knows claim group which is part of the extensive Treasure Mountain-Nobody Knows-Terrace Gold project in the Terrace BC area. The project stretches from 10 to 40 air kilometers east of Terrace, B.C., on the northern slopes of the Copper River valley. The project consists of 48 contiguous mineral claims totalling 17,470 hectares which form Treasure Mountain, Nobody Knows, Dardanelle (presently farmed out) and Treasure Mountain properties. All 48 mineral claims are 100% owned by Decade Resources Ltd
The 2023 sampling concentrated on the Knowbody Knows # 2 showing area in order to identify the source of a rich bornite-chalcopyrite boulder float rock that assayed 41.2 % copper and 220 grams per tonne silver. As per the July 20, 2023 release, the potential zone was identified approximately 50 m uphill from the float rocks. Copper minerals identified in the new zone include minor chalcopyrite (33% copper by weight), bornite (63% copper by weight), covellite (66% copper by weight) and chalcocite (83 % copper by weight). A drill pad has been built on the existing logging road and a total of 500m of drilling will test the 7m wide copper rich zone. Strong faulting is present along the zone with malachite (copper carbonate) staining within the fault gouge. Red bed volcanic rocks are present in the vicinity of the identified copper bearing source. Based on the association of high silver values with the copper, the Company feels that another belt of red bed associated mineralization has been identified.
The Treasure Mountain – Nobody Knows properties have a great potential to host copper-silver deposits and/or copper-gold bearing stockworks. At present there are over 14 known copper bearing areas. They feature numerous individual copper occurrences of which only part have been examined in the 2022 exploration program. The main copper occurrences appear to be associated either with basalt or its subvolcanic equivalent (diabase). Other copper occurrences are related to faults and fracture zones. Almost all showings in this area have a similar mineralogy (mostly bornite and chalcocite) and geochemical signature (copper-silver) which suggest the same source of mineralization.
